One of the world’s greatest sporting events is coming to Newcastle in 2015 – and excitement is reaching fever pitch. The world will be watching when Rugby World Cup 2015 lands in Newcastle, with St James’ Park hosting three group matches featuring superpowers of the sport.
Key dates are:
• South Africa v Scotland, October 3, 2015
• New Zealand v Tonga, October 9, 2015
• Samoa v Scotland, October 10, 2015
Newcastle was chosen as one of only 11 host cities (including 13 venues) across England and Wales because of its world-class sporting credentials.
Rugby World Cup 2015 takes place between September 18 and October 31 2015, and there’ll be a programme of rugby themed events to coincide with the fixtures at St James’ Park.
