Christmas in Sunderland is being put on ice!
The Christmas Frost Village is returning to Sunderland this November, with the city’s Business Improvement District unveiling its plans for the festive season. This year visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of activities, including outdoor screenings of classic movies, music and dance sessions, winter markets, an open air ice rink and the “Ha’way in a Manger” candlelit conga parade!
The rink will be open for group bookings throughout the festive period, with set times when it will be available for private hire – perfect for Christmas parties with a twist!
Ken Dunbar, chief executive of Sunderland BIF, said: “We’ve got a full programme which we hope the people of Sunderland will enjoy and at the same time we believe this will also entice visitors into the city to see what we have to offer. Having built on last year’s feedback and adding even more events such as Christmas movies in Keel Square to the programme, we’re certain that this Christmas in Sunderland will be one to remember.”
